Steve is CEO but an engineer by profession. He has had a highly successful career in both selling and service delivery. He was formerly the UK Public Sector Sales Director at HP. During his time at HP, Steve held a number of roles and was responsible for UK public sector sales, UK Defence sales, and Middle East, Mediterranean and Africa businesses, covering all sectors of the Enterprise Service business. He led the transformation of the go to market operation in this undeveloped area of business and delivered a sound growth strategy for the next three years.
Previous to HP, he held a number of positions with senior-level responsibility at EDS, successfully leading the companies’ strategic bids, re-pitching of existing contracts, new business and incremental growth. At EDS he established and led the service management organisation, including two major service centres and a support regime to deliver IT services to the MoD as part of Europe’s largest ever IT contract (circa 300,000 users in over 450 locations worldwide). Steve joined the technology industry having completed 19 years of distinguished service in Her Majesty’s Royal Navy as an aeronautical engineer officer.
Chief Information Officer
Chief Information Officer, Jason brings 15 years of experience guiding and advising central government departments, public sector arms length bodies, national and multinational companies on how to undertake multi-sourced procurements. Specialising in the enterprise architecture of cloud and data centre infrastructure services, Jason formerly provided the technical leadership to the data centre and hosting towers of the Ministry of Justice, FITS procurement.
Jason has provided similar expert consultancy to C-level executives and technical staff alike at the Atos, BBC, Century Link, EasyJet, General Register Office, Home Office, HMIC, Office for National Statistics, Reed Elsevier, Reckitt Benckiser, the Stationary Office, Siemens, Verizon and the Youth Justice Board.
Nathan manages the day-to -day financial operations and financial reporting of the business. He brings 10 years experience with Grant Thornton UK LLP, where as a senior manager, Nathan advised a wide range of businesses including listed companies, privately held businesses and investment funds.
Nathan’s knowledge of data centre operations, together with his experience of start-up businesses means that he is perfectly placed to lead Crown Hosting Data Centres’ financial team.
Commercial Manager, Tony is also a practicing solicitor and gained extensive experience of drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in both the public and private sectors from a tenure in a major city law practice. This included acting for both domestics and overseas clients and covered contentious as well as non-contentious matters.
His previous experience has included acting for clients in the rail, engineering, telecommunications and the not-for profit sectors. Tony is also a Chartered Engineer.

Chief Operating Officer
Chief Operating Officer, Tony joined Ark with over 38 years’ experience in ICT with exceptional senior management expertise and a superb track record of project delivery. A knowledgeable and respected professional and one of a select few with extensive practical experience of both ‘change management’ and ‘service delivery’ within both the public and private sector.
Whilst Head of BT Government Wales he was responsible for all public sector business services, leading a high calibre team of regional managers, account executives and technical consultants facilitating the achievement of strategic ICT initiatives through data centre services within local authorities, the Welsh Assembly Government and associated government funded organisations.
As Programme Manager, Mike works with both new and current clients on the fitting out of data centres to their specific design requirements. He has an active hands-on procurement and client relations role that ensures all implementations are delivered on time, on budget and to the company’s very high standards.
Mike brings nearly 30 years of experience from various IT positions in both the public and private sectors, where he has been responsible for multi million pound projects. As a project manager at BT Plc, Mike was responsible for the delivery of numerous strategic projects that included liaising with executive stakeholders, external suppliers as well as several virtual teams.
